Reporting to the Vice President of Regulatory Compliance Enterprise, the main responsibilities of this role are to support the businesses and functions in adhering to regulatory requirements handling related projects and transformations to ensure the bank meets the needed standards applicable across various regions
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Build and maintain productive business relationships with regulators and management across the regions, must have a strong project management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across the regions to effectively deliver the role purpose.
Act as an advisor to the different related divisions across the Group by soliciting with authorised expertise as required to provide timely and accurate Compliance advice on any critical regulatory obligations to ensure continued expertise is provided to the business functions.
Keep abreast of related rules, regulations and best practices pertaining to extraterritorial regulations, assess its impact on FAB and update the business functions accordingly.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the framework and plan pertaining to Regulatory projects that properly addresses the compliance needs and requirements of the related divisions in line with extraterritorial regulations that best meets the needs of Group FAB.
Assist in managing all regulatory projects group wide and assist in their proper implementation until BAU.
In partnership with related stakeholders, assist the line manager in managing regulatory initiatives group wide and assist in their proper implementation until BAU.
Help govern related infrastructures and transformations in line with regulatory requirements which includes but not limited to setting and customising policies, procedures, processes.
Monitor the implementation of the requirements set forth from regulatory projects to ensure their proper adherence to existing systems and controls.
Assist in revamping of systems and controls where applicable on an ongoing manner to ensure FAB’s compliance with respective regulations maintaining their adequacy and effectiveness.
Assist the VP of Regulatory Compliance Enterprise in other activities as needed and directed.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Management, Banking or Finance, preferably with certification in compliance, corporate governance, risk management or internal audit.
At least 3 years of business experience preferably in Compliance and/or Audit in Banks
Excellent understanding of regional laws and regulations related to extraterritorial regulations
Excellent Knowledge of the operational risks in different business banking functions.
Team player, able to meet tight deadlines and manage challenging workload
Good interpersonal and people management skills
Preferably bilingual, Fluent in English and Arabic with strong written and verbal skills
Focused on driving tasks to completion with pace, whilst retaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Discrete and has sense for integrity and handles highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
