HSBC is currently recruiting for the role of HR Advisor - GSC
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
An understanding of the relative business environment ensuring that advice & guidance aligns with business aims & goals
To coach and enable managers in the business to deal effectively with complex people issues having taken a risk based approach within the commercial context
To deliver as appropriate focus groups training and briefings to the business in areas as required
Communicate regularly with the customer contact support teams and GSOs to highlight themes and potential areas for improvement, using insights to influence appropriate changes
Partner and consult with CoEs across the spectrum of HR matters
Deliver outstanding relationship management to employee and managers
Understand and champion the HR service delivery model
Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the relevant governance forum and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
Continually consider operational risks associated with the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology
Job Requirements
Minimum 10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in generalist role, knowledge of handling employee grievances and investigations would be an asset
Degree in a Human Resources related discipline is preferred
Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
Strong local market knowledge and good network in the HR community
Proven track record of successful implementation of people strategy, programs, and initiatives
Highly developed presentation skills with strong numerical and analytical capabilities
Demonstrate commercial acumen and understanding of the business/function, balancing it with HR priorities/initiatives
Strong knowledge of labour law principles and practices
Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communications skills to manage effective stakeholder relationships
Ability to work at a high standard on time sensitive deliverable in a complex matrixed organization with both local, regional, and global stakeholders
Fluency in written, reading, and spoken English required
