Our Pricing team contributes to ensure that Givaudan can continue to offer our niche products to customers at the appropriate value and price point to promote sustainable growth. We currently have an internship opportunity with our Regional Flavours Pricing team for Africa and the Middle East (AME) region, because of increasing project pipelines.
As a ‘Pricing Intern’, you will provide key administrative support for our Flavours Pricing team to ensure a quality price setting and maintenance. You will provide support to the team to guarantee compliance with the pricing guidelines as an element of the pricing strategy. You will work with all the important Flavours cross-functional stakeholders in the pricing process.
Based in our Dubai Media City, the role will report into the Flavours Regional Pricing Lead for AME. This is a paid 1-year internship opportunity with us working 5 days a week. The role could evolve to be a regular role with us later on depending on your performance and our changing requirements over the course of the internship period.

Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Partner up
You will support constructive partnerships with all important partners (Sales, Finance, Technical, Operations and Customer Care) in the pricing process with a ‘Pricing for Profitable Win Approach’.
Make the best use of your interpersonal skills
You will manage important interactions with important partners in the context of conflicting goals, different locations, different cultures, and languages.
Guarantee quality delivery
You will assist with Price Setting and Maintenance.
You will take care of ongoing pricing activities such as computing standard pricing of Flavour products, maintaining price lists, providing target costs, and supporting price monitoring processes.
Contribute to our Customer service excellence
You will provide support on pricing issues for SAP orders to the Customer Care teams.
Achieve compliance
You will support the team to guarantee compliance with the Pricing guidelines.
You will ensure data maintenance and quality and the alignment of data in the pricing systems.
You will assist the team to monitor and protect gross margins.
Job Requirements
Currently live in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and preferably in Dubai.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or an MBA.
Relevant professional work experience of not more than 3 years in total in pricing support or finance or business analysis or sales coordination role(s) will be an asset. We are also open to considering fresher’s with the right mindset for this role.
Experience in international work environments with B2B or B2C companies in Flavours, Fragrances, Food & Beverage, Chemicals, Ingredients, Pharma or Manufacturing sectors, will be advantageous.
Excellent numerical skills.
Customer interaction experience will be an asset.
Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language. Proficiency in additional languages like Arabic or French, will be advantageous.
Knowledge or experience with SAP will be useful to have.
