Job Description

The continuity and conformity level of Shari’a rules & principles by assisting in providing Shari’a consultations on inquiries and matters received from WBG and Treasury.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

• Adhere to:

  • HSA resolutions, standards etc.

  • AAOIFI Shari’a Standards.

  • Shari’a Consultations objectives, mission and vision as determined in the Shari’a Governance Standard issued by UAECB.

• Assist in providing Shari’a consultations to WBG and or/Treasury in light of “ISSC” resolutions and AAOIFI Shari’a standards.

• Assist in reviewing the financing or products documentation for WBG and Treasury.

• Assist in reviewing new (or updated) policies and manuals and provide the needed Shari’a approval in light of “ISSC” resolutions and AAOIFI Shari’a standards.

• To follow up the implementation of circulated Shari’a resolutions (related to WBG and Treasury) with the standard timeframe.

• To coordinate with the concerned divisions to update their policies and procedures to reflect any new Shari’a resolution issued by “ISSC”.

• Achieve high standards of behavioral competencies according to the competencies defined by the line management.

• Keep a constructive working relationship with Shari’a Consultations clients in order to achieve the overall objectives.

• Maintain excellent teamwork environment and team spirit.

• Maintain very good efficient and professional oral and written communication skills, in Arabic and English.

Job Requirements

• Fresh graduate

• Shari’a (Fiqh Al Mu’amalat) academic background.

• Good knowledge of Shari’a consultations function requirements.

• Very good communication and presentation skills, in Arabic and English.

• Good knowledge about banking environment.

• Computer Skills – use of applications especially Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
