    Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - ADIB is currently recruiting for the role of Financial Reporting Team Leader

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Stakeholder Management:

    • Participate and support in providing accounting and financial reporting opinion, advice and solutions related to Business scenarios proposed by Top Management.

    • Assist in all AD Hoc tasks and completed each assigned within set deadline.

    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors across the group such as; ADIB auditors, and CBE auditors.


    • Technical Accounting

    • Involved in restructuring process for Non ADIB Branded subsidiaries by providing financial reports to management based on assessment of the current financial and operational position of the company along with proposed solution scenarios.

    • Provide advices to the Bank's teams for any reports or data requested by the Central Bank of Egypt regarding the application of IFRS 9 and the instructions issued by the Central Bank in this regard. Along with assessing the impact of the application of IFRS 9 on both the CAR and ICAAP.

    • Local and Foreign Reporting:

    • Responsible for preparation of quarterly separate and consolidated financial statements to ensure that issued financials present fairly the financial position of the group and its results.

    • Responsible for preparation of IFRS consolidated financial statements to be reported to ADIB UAE on due dates.

    • Coordinate with stakeholders for monthly and quarterly closing process (ex: CFO, Financial Controller, FP&A , and Subsidiaries Finance teams)

    • Prepare monthly and quarterly closing timetable through communications with ADIB Reporting Unit and Subsidiaries Finance teams to ensure a smooth on time closing of consolidated financial reports.

    • Check and verify of monthly closing journals.

    • Follow up with External auditors on Pre audit and post audit quarterly meeting to ensure that are no pending audit issues.

    • Review daily, weekly and monthly variance analysis and follow up on rectification of errors and deviations detected, with full analysis of performance of major business units (i.e credit , deposits , treasury )

    • Provide support to Tax team to prepare tax return and during tax inspections.

    • Prepare Banking Group accounts to be used in Capital Adequacy Ratio calculation.

    • Financial Management of ADIB Branded/Non-branded Subsidiaries:

    • Review and monitor on a monthly & quarterly basis the financial data and operating performance of all subsidiaries (Branded/Non-branded) to give them the proper support and guidance that will avoid any unexpected negative impact on ADIB consolidated financial statements as well as ensure there adherence to management plan and highlight any deviations to be rectified.

    • Prepare and review the investment portfolio revaluation pack of ADIB subsidiaries to ensure that all accounts reflect the fair situation of the group investment

    • Review and monitor the financial statements of Non ADIB branded subsidiaries to ensure its alignment and complies with local regulations and give the proper instructions to subsidiaries’ CFOs to amend and correct any deviations.

    • Supervise timely closing process through communications with subsidiaries finance teams to ensure a smooth on time closing of consolidated financial reports.

    • Follow up on a quarterly basis all ADIB Branded Subsidiaries accounts and ensure that all required adjustments were prepared.

    • Credit Risk and loss Provisions:

    • Perform and confirm all Non performing financing settlements, Write-off decisions and recoveries and provide accounting treatment for them.

    • Re-perform and confirm on credit portfolio reconciliation.

    • Validate and confirm on provision calculation process, collaterals for consumer and wholesale customers assets.

    • Calculate DCF for non-performing client.

    • Provide risk Team by NCL for wholesale and SMEs.

    • Management Reporting:

    • Handling the preparation process of quarterly and Annually Board of Directors Packs such as;

    • Full set variance analysis for separate and consolidated results highlighting QoQ and YoY growth in balance sheet and Income statement and highlight for key performance then provide recommendations and present it to Members of the Board of Directors.

    • Peer Analysis Presentation providing overall market performance, macro and Micro economic summary, along with extra KPIs' ratios of ADIB’s peers.

    • Quarterly bank results performance presentation.

    • Quarterly bank provision analysis presentation including ( Credit provision – tax provision – Legal provision )

    • Check and verify all financial data that included in ADIB Annual Report.

    • Verify all MIS activities for ADIB subsidiaries (ADIB Branded / Non-ADIB Branded) to provide all information required by Management and support the business scenarios proposed to restructure these subsidiaries and manage their financial position.

    • Monitor and supervise the investment portfolio revaluation pack of ADIB subsidiaries to ensure that all accounts reflect the fair situation of the group investment.


    Job Requirements

    • BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.

    • Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred

    • The required years of experience are 5:7 years based on similarity of position, business and filed.

    • With no Maximum years of experience as the job holder should reach proper level of technical and Managerial skills prior to move up.

    • Adequate knowledge in accounting principles and practices and standards according to EG GAAP and IFRS.

    • Adequate knowledge in accounting principles and standards according to CBE rules and regulations.

    • Adequate knowledge in banking practices and related laws and regulations.

    • Adequate knowledge of Tax laws.

    • Adequate Knowledge of Management reporting

    • Decision Maker, Innovative and Good communication skills.
