The CIB Egypt is currently recruiting for the role of Credit Investigation Officer
Review the credit investigation process and the customer field visits, customer’s buyers and suppliers to participate in the preparation of the credit information report & recommendation, including reputation of key shareholders, the company and its products, company’s positioning in the market compared to competition.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Credit Investigation:
Supervise the team’s activities to ensure high quality credit investigation function through comprehensive market, desktop checks, and site visits to customers, buyers and Suppliers as deemed necessary on Customers applying for credit facilities prior to providing feedback.
Ensure Market scan to include: Reputation of Key shareholders, the company and its products, the market perception of the company’s performance compared to competition over the agreed upon period of time
Review the reports and give recommendations are highlighting any negative feedback that might lead to losses for the portfolio.
Supervise Field investigation of potentially fraudulent transactions referred by the Fraud team.
Conduct periodical team meetings to follow up and monitor the team activities and discuss any issues that may arise
Liaise with the Key stakeholders: Other Business Banking Risk Functions, Business Banking asset distribution
Policies, Processes and Procedures
Implement approved department policies, processes, and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
Day- to-day operations
Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
Compliance
Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
Supervision
Supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree of commerce, Business Administration, accounting or equivalent.
Minimum 5-7 years investigation in SME/Corporate in CIB or another institution.
Analytical skills.
Good market contacts and network in other banks. financial institutions and geographies
Inquisitive nature, maturity and good communication skills
Process driven and disciplined
Very good command of English.
Good Computer skills.
