Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior HR Professional to join our Human Resources team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and deliver the People Strategy targets for EMEA Wealth and Personal Banking.
Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.
This role leads the strategic and operational HR aspects of the EMEA Wealth and Personal Banking business to align the people plan with the WPB business strategy and drive the implementation of people processes to enable business performance and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Lead the development of a commercial and relevant people plan in line with Global WPB HR strategy and EMEA WPB growth and change agenda and deliver this plan through collaboration with the relevant Centres of Excellence (COEs), local HR teams and business leads.
Drive and own the Talent Management agenda developing key and business critical talent, identifying and debating successors for key positions, ensuring continual focus on diversity.
Provide regional input to Global WPB HR strategy, product design, and deployment plans for the region to ensure an effective matrix decision making process that properly addresses local commercial requirements and considerations.
Have delegated responsibility for WPB EMEA people risk stewardship.
Drive strategic HR support, partnership and consultancy to the WPB regional and market heads on the execution of the regional people plan.
Engage Regional HR COE’s and WPB local HR leads to deliver the people plan with an emphasis on growth and transformational projects with clearly demarcated accountabilities and roles.
Lead from the front in respect of setting local HR teams and supporting COEs.
Set the performance expectation for local HR teams across a diverse spread of market size and capability.
Job Requirements
Extensive HR experience within a regional or global capacity in a fast-moving, complex and demanding corporate environment.
Broad generalist HR experience gained across a variety of businesses.
Experience in leading significant business and people transformations that have a key underlying driver of technology and modernization of work practice.
Ability to work at a strategic level in culturally diverse environments. (Preferably within EMEA).
Proven ability in leading HR professionals, raising standards within the function and improving the profile of HR within a business.
Demonstrate up to date knowledge of the businesses’ products and services, the external environment, the competitive landscape and broad macro-economic trends.
Commercial awareness and ability to articulate business value of HR initiatives and make commercially sound judgment to advise businesses.
Proven ability to manage change initiatives and HR projects across multiple business units and geographies.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholder’s relationships.
A Bachelor’s degree ideally with a post graduate qualification in an HR related discipline.
