    The purpose of the role is to support the Engagement Operations function, providing analysis and insight into data and performance of the business units.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Engagement initiation process

    • Commence engagement initiation activities subject to an approved engagement budget

    • Fill out the internal projects’code, and obtain approvals from Engagement leaders

    • Co-ordinate with risk on ensuring risk formalities are completed in a timely manner

    • Creation and maintenance of client and client contracts in ERP per Engagement letters

    • Ensure job codes are open well ahead of audit start dates

    • Ensure that job funding, recovery, resourcing and billing terms are aligned with those approved in the engagement budgeting platform

    • Monitor compliance and escalate exceptions/delays to Resource Planning Manager and Engagement Teams

    • Create exception reports to highlight delays and postponement and impacts thereafter to revenue, billing and collection performance

    • Engagement monitoring and profitability analysis

    • Monitor progress on engagements, align billing milestones and escalate to Finance Controller on a weekly basis.

    • Calculation of engagement profitability and timely escalations

    • Ongoing variance analysis vs approved budgets;

    • Budget amendments where required

    • Ensure workflow approvals per ERP authorization matrix

    • Ensure collaboration with Resource Planning team to support replotting as required

    • Process revenue and pipeline adjustments as and when required

    • Periodic analysis – causal analysis and remediation plan

    • Escalation for aged debtors to the Engagement Teams

    • Engagement code closure & off-boarding

    • Co-ordinate with Records Management team to ensure completion of working papers and eAudit closeout

    • Ensure fee collection from the client prior to the delivery of audited financial statements.

    • Ensure timely reporting of client losses reported appropriately on the SMART system (CRM) – if applicable


    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a Financial/ Accounting (Preferable)

    • 1- 2 years’ experience professional services operations is desirable
