    EFG Hermes is currently recruiting for the role of Senior Human Resources Generalist)

    Responsible for the delivery of Human Resources support to the country(ies) assigned in coordination with the department’s specialist functions.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Work closely with corporate HR to localise company policies and procedures and ensure suitability to the market and labour requirements. Research and recommend enhancements to the policies, keeping in mind corporate standards.

    • Support the centralized corporate payroll unit, ensuring all statutory deductions are appropriately handled and all payments are made according to schedule (monthly and annual basis).

    • Assume full responsibility for the local medical insurance plan in assigned country(ies). research appropriate options, negotiate renewals and ensure premiums are properly calculated, distributed and communicated to the master keeper and payroll.

    • Supervise all immigration related matters (visas, residencies, special re-entry permits....etc.) and keep track of expiry dates, changes in requirements, etc.

    • Responsible for the complete on-boarding process, including ensuring completion of the new hire set-up, paperwork, formalities.

    • Handle the exit process for all resignations and transfers, including exit interviews, releases and end of service payments as well as any related communications within HR and the organisation. Analyse exit interviews and identify reasons for employee turnover to develop recommendations to improve retention.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vacation records, review any required vacation policy exceptions and submit them for approval, and contribute to the quarterly vacation report and analysis.

    • Responsible for issuing salary letters to banks and others authorities.

    • Work closely with the L&D function to ensure all regulatory training requirements are met and provide assistance during the annual TNA cycle when required.

    • Maintain complete and comprehensive employee files in line with corporate HR guidelines and local statutory requirements.

    • Responsible for the annual HR budget for the country or region assigned.

    • Supervise non-officers (drivers, office boys), and manage their daily schedules, overtime, etc.

    • Liaise with various government entities including the labour office, social insurance office and others as needed.

    • Actively participate in HR projects and initiatives on a group level as assigned.

    • Represent HR internally and externally appropriately and ensure that his/her direct manager is duly updated on all local matters.


    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

    • Kuwaiti nationality is a must.

    • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in Kuwait.

    • Familiar with all current governmental initiatives and rules governing the employment of Kuwaiti nationals and expatriates.

    • Proficient user of all Kuwait e-government portals.

    • Previous experience working with remote leadership and remote colleagues is preferable.

    • Experience managing people is preferable.

    • Culturally sensitive, self-disciplined, responsible individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

    • Good command of the English and Arabic languages.

    • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Internet Applications, HR systems).

    • Can multi task and prioritize assignments and requests while meeting changing deadlines.

    • Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.

    • Flexible in taking on new tasks.

    • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).

    • Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.

    • Ensure deliverables are always accurate and of a high quality.

    • Manage pressure and conflicting demands and priorities tasks and workload

    • Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet changing deadlines.

    • Any other tasks required within the general scope of the department
