Emirates Development Bank (EDB) is looking for Credit Risk Officer
to join our team. To perform review and analysis of Micro Credit Applications and ensure compliance with the Micro credit product program. In doing so, the incumbent will ensure all the required documentation are received and the approval criteria are met before submitting to the Head of Credit risk and review for final approval.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Analyze the Credit Proposals with Due Diligence and identify any exceptions and verify the information & documentation provided in order to ensure compliance with the bank's guidelines.
Assess the borrowers’ creditworthiness, eligibility and affordability in order to approve or deny loan applications.
Analyze financial information including bank statements, in order to determine the appropriate loan size, terms, and pricing.
Review of financial indicators including financial statement analysis, client competitive position, collateral coverage ratios, etc in order to determine capability of clients’ to pay back.
Ensure coordination of applicant records with the Etihad credit bureau, Central Bank and other black lists in order to ensure their credibility, accuracy and completeness.
Identify common frauds, errors, irregular transactions and take appropriate action as and when appropriate in accordance with the bank’s procedures.
Support the Head of Credit Risk and review in formulating the Micro Credit policy and parameters.
Develop and produce the Micro Credit portfolio reports and reporting requirements.
Prepare periodic and ad hoc statistics pertaining to declined and approved cases and the ratio thereof, of instances of missing documentation over a certain period, etc. in order to keep record of all information that will then be further submitted to the Head of Credit Risk for review
Ensure that changes in policies and procedures arising from changes in products, regulations or systems are considered during the analysis and administration of Micro Credit facility proposals in order to maintain up-to-date policies and procedures within EDB.
Job Requirements
UAE Nationals with family book is preferred
+2-3 years of relevant work
Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field Required
