Job Description
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Global Finance team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Assist the Manager – Finance and CFO in supporting the senior management team in respect of operational and financial matters
Support the CFO in ensuring that all HSBC Group and local reporting requirements are delivered to the highest standards and within the required deadlines
Be Responsible for delivering the reporting requirements as requested by Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), along with maintaining the relationship with the CBK
By using change management and streamlining experience, review existing reporting processes, especially Central Bank reporting, to deliver a more efficient, sustainable streamlined and automated process
Have exposure to the Kuwait Global Business and Function teams by providing support, insight and guidance to them to manage their income and cost base
Act as the BRCM coordinator for Kuwait Finance and carry out all related tasks
Responsible for Vendor payment related activities relating to Kuwait Finance and coordinating with the Account payable team
Ensure that regulatory reports (existing and proposed) relating to Finance are submitted to Central Bank of Kuwait within the required deadlines and to the highest quality of accuracy
Ensure that the relevant Group reports are submitted within the required deadlines and to the highest quality of accuracy
Develop and maintain relationships with the Global Business and Function teams ensuring strong partnerships are created.
Job Requirements
University graduate with at least 5 to 7 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry
Working knowledge and practical experience of the Kuwait banking market, rules and regulations of the Central Bank of Kuwait, including all regulatory reporting requirements relating to the Finance function
Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and influence at both senior and peer levels
Proven ability to deliver change (process re-engineering) on a timely basis
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to successfully work in a complex and matrix management environment
Strong Excel skills
