Burgan Bank is currently recruting for the role of Assistant Manager - Risk Based Audit
The Assistant Manager- Risk Based Audits is responsible for performing audits and assessments of Burgan’s risk and control environments as well as performing investigations, including fraud-related investigations. The objective is to develop an integrated and sustainable approach to risk and control that encompasses a holistic view of people, process and technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Strategy, Planning and Management
Planning and Management
Assist in managing bank’s business risks through the review and analysis of risks and controls within the business processes and the testing of these controls.
Assist in developing risk based internal audit plans and undertake internal audit reviews of the business processes
Operations, Review and Reporting
Understanding
Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department.
Possesses a broad and comprehensive understanding of different Internal Audit standards, policies and local regulations; applies a broad and comprehensive knowledge of high-risk areas
Fieldwork
Plan, execute and document audit reports, including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting and follow-up and verification of issue closure while ensuring audits are completed timely and within budget.
Assessing risks and processes within the Bank’s environment, while working collaboratively with other auditors and business partners.
Performing basic to more complex audit tasks on risk and internal control related program/project audits.
Testing compliance with controls, documenting work, and providing written recommendations, as appropriate.
Leveraging data analytics to facilitate audit work.
Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Burgan Bank Group, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Review and Monitoring
Assist in monitoring, assessing, and recommending solutions to emerging risks.
Reporting
Draft audit reports and present issues to the business while discussing practical cross-functional solutions
Collating observations, preparing work papers, determining and agreeing recommendations for improvement and reporting to stakeholders, and direct manager.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
Minimum years of experience required : 6
CIA or one of CPA, ACA, ACCA, CGMA
At least 3 years in a related role with experience in business, functional and people management, with proven abilities in taking responsibility for issuing to stakeholder’s high-quality deliverables according to strict timetables.
