the Arab African International Bank is currently recruiting for the role of Digital Factory - Tech Lead
The Tech Lead owns the development delivery process and leads the team to continuously improve it. The position will drive the teams engineering practices in test driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment along with being a hands-on team member to help solving complex problems and to coach others. The job holder shall help in increasing the speed of delivery, improving quality/security of code, and optimizing processes for development team. Moreover, will manage the team responsible for infrastructure-as-code deployment tooling and supporting services on multiple cloud provides along with metrics and login.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Guides teams on speed of delivery, improving quality/security of code, and optimizing processes
Mentors and coaches the technical team
Be hands on and engage in coding to help the team to develop his solution and solve all surfacing problems at hand along with identifying and removing technical impediments
Provides the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality
Identifies bottlenecks in coding development and deployment processes
Leads planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects
Executes on plan by building coding standardizations and automating processes for the organization
Leads knowledge growth effort of platform configuration, management and troubleshooting
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree of Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any related discipline
Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a related function and preferably worked on banking products or e-payments (Financial Services/Telecos)
Seen as an expert within the technical components of the domains/products/journeys
Excellent coding and scripting skills (Bash, Perl) and experience with implementing high-scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud-based container platforms (PaaS/SaaS)
Working knowledge of deployment automation solutions (i.e. Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and cluster management tools like Kubernetes
Experience with containers such as Docker, OpenShift and continuous integration and related tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar, etc.
Experience in Agile Development, with specific Enterprise Architect (or similar) experience preferred
Experience as a DevOps or SRE Lead on a cross-functional agile team
Understands relationship with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Design Lead and rest of technical team. Experience managing technical priorities within the Backlog
