Banque du Caire - BDC is currently recruiting for the role of Data Engineer
Primary responsibility is to define data lifecycle, including data models and data sources for analytics platform, gathering data from business and validating them in order to provide data for decision making.
Responsible for designing data integrations solutions, and works to fill that system with the data consumptions systems that requires data.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain stable, secure, and scalable data engineering solutions and pipelines in support of data and analytics projects, including integrating new sources of data into our central data warehouse, and moving data out to applications and affiliates.
Design and Create a Data Warehouse / Data Marts models
Interacts with the Business divisions to understand all data requirements to develop business insights and translates them into data structures and data model requirements to IT
Managing the Data Modeling according to business and technical requirements.
Use ETL/ELT for managing, processing and storing the data
Ensure best performance for the designed solutions and data ingestion
Troubleshoot and fix any problems or issues that may occur in operations
Develop data pipelines operations by provide automated monitoring and operations approaches
Apply Data Governance policies and processes & Knowledge Transfer to the team members.
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
3 - 5 years’ in one of the domains related to Business Intelligence, MIS, Data Warehousing, ETL, and Big Data. Banking knowledge or experience is preferable
Hands-on experience with Big Data, Cloudera
Experience pulling data from a variety of data source types
SQL skills and experience in working with Hadoop, Hive, Map Reduce, Teradata, R, Python, C# and, Java
Experience in working with large datasets, relational databases
Dimensional modeling experience
Experience with Hadoop Components – HDFS, Spark, Hbase, Hive, Sqoop
PL/SQL Oracle development experience
Relational databases (SQL Server/ Oracle/DB2/MySQL...)
ETL tool sets, such as Informatic
Modeling tools such as Toad Data Modeler, Erwin and Embarcadero
