EFG Hermes is currently recruiting for the role of Corporate DevOps Engineer
Responsible for providing technical expertise to support the implementation and operation of middleware components, tools, and utilities (including installation, integration and maintenance, performance tuning and problem management).
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Install, maintain and integrate projects with key stakeholders, vendor and other IT teams to effectively test and validate solutions.
Coordinate with the related team(s) for the deployment of fixes and changes into the production environment.
Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with internal and external parties to investigate, diagnose and resolve service problems to ensure the technological solutions meet business and user requirements.
Respond to all requests and inquiries in a timely manner based on the department’s protocols and ensure the maintenance of accurate records.
Analyze current technology utilized within the firm and develop steps and processes to improve and expand on them.
Assist in drafting configurations, roadmaps, technical diagrams, standards and procedures.
Identify and analyze performance metrics to ensure the optimum implementation of the required solutions.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
3 - 5 years’ experience in software development with up-to-date technologies, including exposure to enterprise databases, designs, and implementation.
Knowledge of:
infrastructure stack used to provide private and public cloud services including network, compute, storage, management systems, databases, middleware and monitoring.
OOPS/Core Java and J2EE development.
programming languages.
agile principles
Experience in the following is a must:
implementing end-to-end deployment pipeline including an understanding of DevOps
Principals, CI/CD, Infrastructure as code, container platforms and system monitoring.
designing using DDD.
building microservices using Java/J2EE, spring, Spring Boot, REST, Spring Cloud, JWT, OAuth 2.0, 12 Factor Apps, and SOLID principles.
developing and deploying microservice solutions on premise/cloud infrastructure (AWS/Oracle/Google/Any other cloud).
microservice containerization with Docker, Kubernetes.
using technologies for service registry like Etcd, Consul, Zookeeper, Curator etc.
designing and implementing event-based and message-driven distributed systems using Kafka/RabbitMQ
Oracle Database or NoSQL Data-stores such as Cassandra and MongoDB.
microservice based solution design using the following architecture aspects: Availability, Cloud Traffic Management, Maintainability, Operability, Scalability and Portability
setting up continuous integration platform with Jenkins, Git, Maven/ Gradle.
Excellent command of Arabic and English.
Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening): able to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic; a creative and resourceful independent thinker.
Flexible in handling new tasks.
Attention to detail; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
