Job Description
Intern will research, prepare, write, and edit online content about Medtronic as part of the Corporate Communications team. Intern will be involved in writing and creating internal stories, blog posts, static copy, animations and video content and well as other technical aspects, such as social media management.
This is a indicating it is a temp role 3-6 months contract
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Attend communications team meetings and support assigned deliverables
Work closely with key internal stakeholders to interview, brainstorm and obtain creative content and shape it into blogs, articles, and posts
Creating unique, simple-to-understand, and user-friendly content that supports reach to customers, patients, and employees.
Research industry-related topics and integrate point of view with input generated from stakeholders
Help create content as dictated by the editorial calendar to promote brand, sales, and other initiatives and needs
Edit and proofread written pieces and visual content
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, mass-communications, public relations or related field
Comfortable with working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
Ability work alongside a diverse group of employees
To be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously
Social media management experience
Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset.
