ALEXBANK is currently recruiting for the role of VMware Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Maintain the day to day operations of the VMware virtualization environment.
Serve as the initial escalation for the VMware virtualization environment issues.
Work with internal and external support teams to troubleshoot VMware virtualization environment.
Perform data restores and other requests in a complex environment.
Compile multiple data sources to generate reports on errors, capacity, transfer rates, etc; Maintain up-to-date documentation about the VMware virtualization environment.
Work closely with IT Team members of the Backup and recovery team to resolve and document complex issues.
Assist IT team members in planning and executing various projects and migrations;
Perform special technology projects and initiatives as assigned.
Maintain the knowledgebase of all applications and systems to assure IT services availability and sustainability according to ICT SLA with Alexbank business.
Escalate critical issues as soon as they may be discovered from the VMware virtualization environment.
Capacity planning for data center resources to ensure IT services availability and eliminate any possible services interruption.
Maintain Data replications for VMware virtualization environment across AlexBank Datacenters DR & HA sites.
Upgrade and migrate from old VMware ESXI versions to the latest technology.
Protect data for AlexBank by every recommended method.
Any other duties that may be assigned by line manager.
Job Requirements
Solid knowledge of VMware stack administration
Good knowledge of Storage “IBM, Dell EMC, vSAN”
Good knowledge VxRail and Nutanix technology
Basic knowledge of VCF
Basic knowledge of NSX
Basic knowledge of RecoverPoint for VM
Basic knowledge of Backup methods/concepts
Basic knowledge of vRealize operation manager
Years of Experience : 3-5
Certificates : VCP, ITIL
