the Arab African International Bank is currently recruiting for the role of Monitoring Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Assess the efficiency of the system based on the production and use of control indicators, and ensures, where necessary, that corrective actions are implemented.
Perform a regulatory watch on best practices in terms of compliance controls along with making suggestions to improve or enrich the current control system.
Contributes - jointly with the Compliance Standards and Methods Officer - to the maintenance of the operational risk mapping for his/her scope of activity, especially by including the deficiencies and operational losses observed.
Design/update controls to meet all regulatory and internal requirements taking into consideration the Risk Mapping assessment.
Coordinate with all concerned departments to ensure timely reporting of control assessment in accordance with the bank procedure and Group standard.
Prepare weekly reports to the direct manager for progress with regards to the control results and weakness identified.
Update the RCM with the new controls and identify the KRI.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration or any related discipline
Min of 0-3 years of experience in the banking sector
Sufficient banking experience in different fields.
Certified in Compliance international certificates.
In-depth knowledge of Banking Laws & Regulations
Excellent detail-oriented skills.
Very good communication skills.
Effective negotiation and problem solving.
