    Delta Flight Attendants are safety-focused professionals who enjoy variety and committed to providing high-quality customer service. The company is seeking both English-speaking and Bilingual Flight Attendants to join its In-Flight Services team. Bilingual applicants can apply as a Language of Destination (LOD) and must be fluent in English and another language. Flight Attendants must be flexible with their hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. New hires must complete seven weeks of training at the company's headquarters in Atlanta, GA, which includes a training wage, meals, and lodging. After training, Flight Attendants report to their base to join their 25,000+ colleagues in In-Flight Service, operating out of 14 bases across the United States including Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale/Miami, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Orlando, Minneapolis, New York, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City. Base options may differ for Bilingual or LOD Flight Attendants.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Delta Flight Attendants are responsible for providing exceptional customer service at altitudes of at least 8,000 feet, assisting customers with luggage storage, demonstrating safety equipment usage, and preparing and selling beverages and meals. They also answer questions, particularly for customers with unique needs, and actively seek customer safety during aircraft delays or turbulence. They also manage emergency procedures, provide clear directions, and make decisions in line with Delta policies and values. They work independently and as part of a team, manage unexpected changes, and practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes.

    Job Requirements

    To be considered for this role, candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be eligible to work in the U.S., fluent in English, have a valid passport and travel documents, complete a pre-employment drug test and background check, and be able to sit in an assigned jump seat with a seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened. Must also be able to open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 60 pounds, and handle a food/beverage cart requiring 32lbs of force. Privacy is a priority, and the position requires flexibility in working hours, physical demands, and the ability to retrieve and store items in overhead bins. Candidates must be willing to accept assignment to any Flight Attendant base after graduation, be flexible to relocate or commute, and be willing to adapt to job demands.
