    Job Description

    The HR Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, onboarding, employee services, affirmative action, employment law compliance, handling grievances and disciplinary actions, off-boarding, career fairs, recruitment campaigns, and key HR projects. They work closely with the HR-Business Manager to support the management of human resources and ensure efficient operational functions.

    The HR Officer establishes effective relationships with Line Managers and employees, providing quality advice and service on daily employee services and performance management issues. They assist the HR-Business Support Manager in developing and implementing function-related policies and procedures, updating the HR General Policies manual and portal.

    The HR Officer designs the framework for vacancies, ensuring alignment with required competencies and coordinating recruitment campaigns, open days, and career fairs. They organize interview and assessment arrangements, ensure proper communication with candidates, handle pre-offer formalities, and ensure timely employment offers/contracts.

    The HR Officer coordinates with HR teams on employment visa requirements, travel, and hotel arrangements, and with UHS for medical tests. They provide competitive market research and prepare pay studies to establish pay practices. They comply with all governmental and labor laws and government reporting requirements, maintain minimal company exposure to lawsuits, and protect employees' interests in accordance with company policies and regulations.

    The HR Officer participates in investigations on employee grievances or disciplinary issues, advises managers and supervisors on the progressive discipline system, conducts exit interviews for junior staff, recommends employee services practices, initiates letters of confirmations, resignations, terminations, retirement, transfers, re-designations, promotions, internships, and more, and generates and maintains function-related reports and spread sheets.

    The HR Officer also tracks the contract renewal process and performs all personnel-related tasks.


    Job Requirements

    The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in human resources or related fields, or a higher diploma or certificate with years of experience. They should possess advanced interviewing skills, negotiation and influence skills, evaluation and assessment, and performance management. Professional HR qualifications and certificates are preferred, and proficiency in technology systems and tools, such as recruitment sourcing engines and agencies, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, LinkedIn, and web search is also required. Cost control, project management, compliance, and training in "Train the Trainer" are also valuable.

    The ideal candidate should be fluent in English and have 6+ years of experience in HR, preferably in the airline industry. They should have worked in a mid-sized organization and be knowledgeable in HR functions, Egyptian Labour law requirements, competency-based assessment centers, contract drafting, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. They should have exposure to resourcing engines and recruitment agencies and be able to conduct effective interviews and assessments for candidates.

    The ideal candidate should be able to meet deadlines, prioritize responsibilities, and act in critical situations. They should also demonstrate high attention to detail, confidentiality, and adherence to policies, procedures, and set measures.
