    Job Description

    Provisioning Agents are responsible for providing hospitality to Southwest's internal and external customers within the provisioning warehouse, aircraft, and ramp ensuring high-quality inflight service and collaborating with Crew Members to complete tasks set by set times.

    Duties include stocking aircraft with snacks and drinks, collaborating with Crew Members, and completing tasks by set times. Provisioning Agents maintain a clean work area, stock provisioning trucks, and ensure aircraft are equipped with entertainment kits.

    In the ramp area, Provisioning Agents load, unload, and service company aircraft, transporting company material, and operating motorized ground service equipment. They may be exposed to various weather conditions, noises, and dirt for extended periods. Stock aircraft galleys with provisions, equip cabin interiors with passenger amenities, and transport cabin, commissary, and cleaning equipment between aircraft and storage areas. Provisioning aircraft must be completed during a prescribed ground time.

    As a member of lean staff, Provisioning Agents wear visual identification required by the company, respond to internal customer inquiries, attend training, and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers. Duties may vary by size and organization of the Provisioning Station.

    Benefits and Offers

    The pay for this position is $19.00 per hour, with the potential for future increases based on the collective bargaining agreement wage scale. Benefits include free fly on open seats on all Southwest flights, a 9.3% 401(k) match, and the potential for annual profit-sharing contributions towards retirement. The pay amount does not guarantee employment, and 401(k) match and profit-sharing contributions are subject to the plan's vesting schedule and IRS limits


    Job Requirements

    No education or experience requirements.

    The job requirements for this position include obtaining a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, a valid U.S. driver's license, obtaining a Customs Seal, and maintaining USPS Clearance to handle US Mail.

    Physical abilities include lifting and moving items of 70 pounds or more, observing safety practices, and operating cutting tools.

    Skills and abilities include reading, writing, and fluently speaking English, successfully completing Provisioning Agent training and probationary periods, adherence to the Probationary Attendance Control Policy, maintaining satisfactory performance ratings, being aware of hazardous situations, working under tight time constraints, being alert to moving vehicles or personnel, using radio equipment, communicating information and instructions verbally or with radio equipment, typing and/or using computer keyboards, working on provisioning trucks and stands, and understanding provisioning procedures, rules, and regulations.

    Other qualifications include maintaining a well-groomed appearance, being a U.S. citizen or having authorization to work in the United States, being at least 18 years old, complying with company attendance standards, and working various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
