    Alahli Bank of Kuwait - ABK is currently recruiting for the role of Portfolio Analyst - Ahli Capital

    Support the portfolio and fund management functions of the department. Also supports the Asset Management Department with assignments which support its business growth.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • People Management Supervise employees and the team in line with people policies & practices. Communicate operational procedures.

    • Specific Accountabilities

    • Market Analysis: Assist in the study & examination of financial statements, economic, sector and equity data.

    • Investment Opportunities Assessment: Assist in the assessment and research of investments and competitor products and seek positioning opportunities

    • Networking: Assist in establishing relationships with 3rd party investment product providers / fund managers with whom to partner for the introduction of existing and new investment funds.

    • Strategy: Provide input and assist in the development and delivery of the investment products strategy and roadmap. Assist in development of medium to long term investment ideas and strategies

    • Product P&L: Assist in the development of pricing plans in conjunction with suppliers based on volume, required margin etc.

    • Proposals: Support in the preparation of major proposals to clients

    • Reports: Report, manage and review the performance/Positions/Transactions of the ACIC offered funds as well as provide corrective action whenever needed

    • Operations: Coordinate all operational issues/tasks with middle office and back office.

    • Monthly Commentary: Assist in preparation of monthly commentary and newsletter

    • Financial modelling and company valuation: Support in the preparation of financial modelling and company valuation

    • Portfolio Development Support in structuring and offering standard portfolios suitable to different client risk profiles (low, medium, high), by recommending composition of these portfolios including the use of in-house or 3rd party local, regional, and international funds (equity, fixed income, etc.) and ETFs

    • Coordinate with the Compliance department to ensure that the model portfolio offering, and third-party product solutions are in line with the local Capital Markets Authority regulations

    • Portfolio Management Manage and monitor the model portfolios and third-party solutions by monitoring macro-economic and financial market changes, with the objective to maximize the performance of the investment solutions being offered and ensure they perform above market averages

    • Support the Head of Asset Management in developing the overall investment products strategy and roadmap

    • Marketing Work closely with ACIC’s Investment Advisory division in contributing to the development of the required marketing material to promote the investment solutions offered

    • Provide feedback to the Head of Asset Management on how the Wealth Management offering can be improved (e.g., introduction of new investment products and services, revised pricing structures)

    • Client Management Support ACIC’s Investment Advisors in selling investment products, by attending meetings with large clients

    • Performance Management proactively manage own performance and results in accordance with ACIC’s performance management approach and KPIs for the role

    • Policies and Procedures Adhere to ACIC policy, procedures, professional standards and work ethics


    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certification/experience in Business Administration and Management

    • More than 4 years’ experience in a related industry

    • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

    • Good knowledge of the GCC equity market
