    We are currently looking for a Social Media Specialist to be responsible for the ongoing management and growth of Emirates Group brands’ social media presence in alignment with business and brand objectives. The Social Media Specialist works collaboratively with other marketing communication functions - across earned media, owned media and paid media activations - and ensures that social media is leveraged as a recognised and valued component of the integrated marketing mix.

    The person in this roles needs to develop sound relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage issues as they arise in collaboration with the Social Media Manager.

    This role is based out of our headquarters in Dubai and reports to the Manager Social Media and Content

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Execute the Emirates Group social media strategy, in conjunction and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including Social Media Manager, Corporate Communications Marketing & Brand Manager(s), business units, external agencies and vendors, to ensure the corporate Social Media strategy is being achieved and agreed initiatives are implemented appropriately.

    • Manage and implement day-to-day social media initiatives, activities and operations in support of agreed business and brand objectives of the Emirates Group business division/s assigned. Drive visibility for the company’s major business initiatives and products.

    • Identify and communicate social media opportunities and create materials in support of the social media strategy, which: improves the advocacy of target groups; enhances our reputation; builds strong relationships through everyday interactions and conversations; encourages selected audiences, especially customers and influencers, to become brand enthusiasts. An essential activity will be to capture and share “real-time” trends, themes and sentiment of target groups.

    • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of the Social Media strategy and activities through agreed measurement tools. Generate clear, accurate, concise and bespoke reports for various stakeholders to monitor and modify communications as required based upon established goals. Capture customer and target audience sentiment, attitude, responsiveness and report on these to drive business insights, this includes competitor research, monitoring and tracking in the Social Media space, as well as working with the company’s media agencies and Digital Communications Unit on cross-channel digital campaigns.

    • Where relevant, work with PR managers/agencies to identify, establish and maintain positive relationships with targeted influencers, including bloggers, in order to increase advocacy and/or amplify reach of the company’s social media content.

    • Identify and disseminate information within the department about new developments and achievements in the organisation to feed into the Social Media plan and objectives. Research and recommend new developments, trends, applications and media for broader discussion and collaboration within the department.


    Job Requirements

    • Only candidates having the minimum qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills below will be considered:

    • Degree in Digital Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing

    • 5 years of solid social media experience in the social media field with public relations, corporate communications or digital marketing expertise.

    • Excellent social media writing skills to ensure colloquial tonality and style

    • Strong knowledge of the digital technology, including social media toolset

    • Excellent relationship building and communication skills

    • Excellent understanding of the online marketplace and how social media fits into online marketing, advertising, public relations and crisis communications strategies.
