GCG business in the UAE and Bahrain has a robust wealth management proposition serving a wide range of global customers, this expansive suite of offerings range from investment products, insurance products and treasury products across an open architecture platform.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Expand scope and contribution of the MF and Securities Brokerage (Fixed Income / Structured Notes and Equity Brokerage) products to contribute to overall wealth management revenues. Maintain a healthy business mix.
Grow fee income/ sales volume / penetration by offering product ideas and advice to RMs and customers
Review the regional Fixed Income solicitation list and seek out additional opportunities to enhance the UAE list. Track top selling securities across other consumer businesses and (i) add those which qualify to GCG UAE and Bahrain Advisory list and (ii) build consensus with frontline and deliver volumes.
Enhance the Mutual Fund offering by working closely with Find house partners, internal stakeholders and sales
Help manage the ad hoc product deliverables including reporting MIS cuts to key stakeholders, assist in renewing product programs, documentation review and liaising with L and C as well as credit and Ops where required.
Explore and fill products gaps by evaluating new MF and Securities Brokerage ideas for customers.
Work closely with sales team by providing them advice on rebalancing / reinvestment actions for clients, training, joint calls and product roadshows.
Work closely with the regional product and portfolio teams in Asia to transfer knowledge from respective markets
Track focus funds and organize roadshows for frontline and customers
Support the Investment Product Head with activities related to regulatory registrations and reporting (GRITT, SCA reporting, CBB). Provide relevant inputs into the MCA.
Job Requirements
Articulate the portfolio analysis with high intellectual capabilities and impactful presentation in English.
Good analytical skills with in-depth knowledge on financial markets.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with and co-ordinate between various stakeholders.
5+ years of experience in relationship management, product specialist, investment research, insurance or financial communications.
Energetic, enthusiastic, flexible and capable of working under time constraints
University graduate in Finance, Business Administration or relevant disciplines, preferably CFA or Master of Finance/Economics/Financial Engineering background
Strong understanding of financial market and economies, market topics and investment products
Strong product knowledge
Experience in client investment advice or investment research communication
Experienced and comfortable in presenting to a variety of audiences, from small, focused groups to large conference venues, internal and external audiences
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including public speaking experience.
Ability to explain financial and economic topics in easy to understand language.
Strong client focus and capacity to recognize and assess risks and opportunities.
Strong analytical and influencing skills
Team player, collaborative and team oriented work
High level of competence in Bloomberg, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong creative and interpersonal skills coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit and selling skills
Self-starter with high work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
Fluent in English
Competencies
Experience of the financial industry
Investment and banking product knowledge especially across global markets
Understanding asset allocation process, trading (equity, FX, fixed income and derivatives) and managed investments preferred
Knowledge of Citigroup's investment offering is preferred
