Job Description
The Business Development Manager (Sales Performance) is responsible for the day-to-day business management including volume and price optimization, as well as improving the performance of the MEAE sales team by analyzing sales activities and driving initiatives that address both top-and bottom-line optimization. He/she closely collaborates with the sales teams and supports other business functions in their interfaces with the MEAE sales region. Reports directly to the Head of Strategy & Sales Performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Lead Sales strategy for value and volume growth in Borouge and Borealis territory.
Manage day-to-day MEAE business volumes/prices and sales performance
Plan and report on sales performance and continuous improvement
Specialize in PE/PP Pricing mechanisms.
Support business plan development and implementation.
Strive for commercial excellence and sales performance improvement.
Support Key Accounts development.
Specialize in contracts management
Manage MEAE Sales Performance Analyst
Job Requirements
Master or bachelor degree in marketing, science, engineering or finance/economics
Supplementary degree in business management and/or negotiation/pricing tactics, or equivalent from demonstrated years of experience
Good financial literacy and deep understanding of B2B commercial terms (payment terms and credit facilitations, incoterms, customer types, transaction types,
Thorough understanding of polymer industry market dynamics, its various sales channels and the factors that influence demand and profitability
Good knowledge of Borouge products and applications
Fluency in English, written and oral. Clear knowledge of business English and commercial vocabulary.
Minimum 7 years of polymer industry experience, with solid understanding of commercial activities.
Demonstrated track record of analytical competence (modelling, root-cause analysis, contribution margin analysis etc.). Advanced analytical skills and solid
capabilities in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proven ability to deliver presentations to a senior audience.
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams and coach team members
Strong commercial savviness and good negotiation abilities in B2B sales
Able to deal with ambiguity, information scarcity and conflicting interests, while balancing multiple priorities
Good basic knowledge of SAP (R/3 and BW).
