Health Care Assistant - In Patient Department
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
To assist the Registered Nurse in the provision of indirect and limited direct care for patients.
Provides general hygiene, personal care and activities of daily living for the patient under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Maintains a safe and clean environment for patient / staff.
Demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to render supervised care and services based on specific specialties, age appropriates, and developmental needs of patient.
Ensures patient rooms are adequately stocked as per need.
Escorts patients to other departments, supports the effective functioning of unit routine and answers call bells.
Assists, Manager and Materials department in the appropriate charging and stocking of ward materials on a daily basis.
Under the direction of Nurse Manager/Registered Nurse cares for and cleans ward equipment and reports any malfunctions as per guidelines
Job Requirements
Applicants should be Nursing/Midwifery Diploma holder with at least 2 years experience
Fluency in English is essential.
