Drive company buses and cars to provide support in transporting a range of products and services ensuring all times that they deliver an on time and courteous transportation service for internal and external staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Check vehicles and ensure that vehicles under his control is fully roadworthy at all times and do that extent he would undertake daily checks, organize through Central Services, Supervisor (Tech.) the scheduled/un-scheduled repairs, cleaning and maintenance and ensure vehicle registration is valid at all times.
Acquaint themselves with staff transport routes including changes which occur to routes,as duties can be shifted, by informing is valid at all times.
Exercise to secure transportation of staff is done in a timely manner, with good customer service and driving skills.
Collect cash/cheques from travel outlets and the banks in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Ensure no discrepancy/shortage occurs in the cash packets.
Deliver/collect mail, timetables, ticket stock at various locations, including advisory, notices, APTs, OAGs, Hotel Guides, OCS mail, Staff Travel tickets, Bank related documents, Promotion materials, DAT etc.. These are time bound jobs which require care and initiative in completing the assignment in safe and timely manner.
Undertake special assignments to pick up and drop off VIP clients, visitors. Ensure that they have an understanding of the route and factored in the lead time required to complete the activity on time. He should present himself in a neat and clean manner.
Assist in cargo clearance including customs inspections and delivery to respective department/residential apartments in case of personal effects, conduct city tour for VIP Guests, collection/delivery of company cars to Senior Manager's residences, passing of vehicles, cabin crew transportation for training, city tours, ID/Uniforms issue etc. The job holder will be required to be adaptable to deputize in case of leave of co-drivers.
Meet and greet new joiners, VIP guests, clients arriving and departing and passengers (from time to time) with the assistance of the Airport Representatives. Assist them when loading and unloading the bags from the bus/car and give them tours around UAE whenever required. Provide on the spot clarifications by transporting passengers during flight diversions.
Delivery of promotional materials such as banners, posters? to/from Corporate Comms safely (glasses) and on time.
Job Requirements
Facilities/Maintenance.Driver: 3+ Years
12 Years schooling or equivalent.
Equivalent 'O' levels with valid UAE driving licence of categories 2 (car), 4 (30 str) and 5 (Big Bus)
Experience in staff transportation/mail/courier delivery in a large organization with good exposure to interact with people of various nationalities and experience in mechanical aspects of a vehicle.
Knowledge of UAE road network, company buildings and accommodation and places of tourist interest.
Fluent in English and proven customer service skills.
