Job Description
The Project Officer will assist the Project Managers with the development and implementation of projects, including project plans, process review, redesign and solutions and contribute to issue resolution and escalation, research, analysis activities and planning and monitoring activities
The successful candidate will be responsible for review, communication and implementation of SOPs, work instructions and KPIs in the department, based on customer requirements, Corporate Integrated Management System, regulatory and industry standards, Quality Management Systems and departmental objectives and policies. Facilitate and represent the department at all external airline audits, change management processes, continuous improvement programmes & ensure all staff are updated on SOPs for relevant areas of operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects
Maintain register of compliance with endorsed project management methodology
Lead change management processes as required
Contribute to the development of project plans under the guidance of a Project Manager to develop future capability
Research and analyse options in relation to business cases and project deliverables to guide optimal decision making
Lead defined projects with the guidance of the Project Manager
Undertake process mapping activities to understand current processes whilst identifying opportunties for process efficiencies to make recommendations for service redesign
Job Requirements
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
Administration. General administration Experience - 3+ Years
PRINCE 2 or PMP desirable but not essential
Working on Projects or within a Project Team environment
Thorough familiarity with all MS applications, specifically Excel, Project and other scheduling computer applications.
Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills.
