Job Description
To Support the Manager Finance and Assistant Manager Finance (Finance Systems and BI) in undertaking the analysis of user requirements, report on findings and make recommendations aimed at ensuring improved business support.
To generate ad-hoc reports and custom data extraction based on the requests from various Finance units.
To work closely with IT production support teams for remediation & ensure closure of issues related to Finance Systems.
To support month end closure activities for Finance Systems.
To support Finance teams in setting up, configuring and testing the content of various Finance Systems.
To ensure information is delivered to business through correct channels, ensuring compliance with all controls & security requirements.
To ensure business user requirements and project deliverables are covered optimally in Finance Systems Projects
To prepare project related documentation in line with project management processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
To support the business in setting up and testing the contents of Finance Systems with particular focus on, building implementation cases and scenarios for the business, analyzing transactional & posting data from sources.
Ensure project deliverables are as per user requirements, analyze & investigate gaps and take part in formal business acceptance testing
Work with the Business and Core Finance teams to streamline business processes, assess impact & document changes. Assist finance units with impact analysis on issues on need basis.
To assist in creating project documentation especially Business Requirement Specification, Information mapping, business rules, support risks and escalation procedures. Reinforce a sense of accountability and responsibility for delivering highest quality and value to the business.
Support implementation of MIS from data in EDW / Data-mart / Staging using the Cognos reporting tool.
Generate ad-hoc reports and custom data extracts as required by various Finance units.
Act as Finance System knowledge factory and provide best practices to the accounting and reporting functions to aid provision of timely and value add reporting, analysis and recommendations to the Business units to develop strategies, measure performance and make relevant business decisions that create business growth.
Job Requirements
Chartered Accountant or MBA Finance
Knowledge and experience in Finance Systems and related best practices
Knowledge in structuring MIS and implementation of changes in Finance Systems
