    Job Description

    Responsible for driving the Business performance through highlighting Risks and opportunities to AOP. Also through highlighting and discussing key business updates or any other initiative that may have a P&L, operational, customer experience or other reputational impact

    Jointly coordinating with Finance and Stakeholder AOP planning. Identifying key revenue and cost initiatives to deliver AOP targets. Achieving country and regional alignment through engagement with CVM, Wealth and Sales & Distribution.

    Also Responsible for tracking and enhancing productivity of the Network and Distribution channels through proper allocation of resources. Acting as a focal point between the network distribution and support functions to ensure effective communication.

    The role holder plays a major part in providing support to senior management by providing ad-hoc business analysis and requests.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Setting country AOP in alignment with strategy with the coordination of Finance and all RBWM stakeholders.

    • Preparing BPR deck to monitor Country performance.

    • Identifying cost saving opportunities with close monitoring of major cost items.

    • Monthly tracking of RBWM financial performance against plan, and of revenue growth activities status against target dates and accordingly highlighting major deviations.

    • Challenging any cost deviation/ spikes to ensure full utilization of resources.

    • Conducting branch capacity models to drive effective resource redeployment.

    • Issuing periodic business updates to senior management (Board Papers, CEO Reports, EXCO Papers…)

    • Conducting Monthly Market Share Analysis to monitor HBEG Advances and Deposits compared to peers.

    • Prepare RBWM updates directed to the local Finance team on monthly basis.

    • Acting as a first line of defense for RBWM defense monitoring and reporting Recognition plans.

    • Develop and implement effective Incentive Plan to create a pay for performance sales and management culture that motivates and rewards the best.

    • Prepare Monthly highlights, weekly updates and Executive Managers Meeting updates on weekly basis.

    • Responsible to interpret performance metrics and provide recommendations to the senior team within Business Performance (BP) to drive performance as well as optimization of all RBWM products to achieve maximum returns.

    • Providing support to senior management by providing ad-hoc business analysis and requests.


    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years proven and broad based experience or equivalent, including financial analysis experience in sales, customer segmentation, competitive landscape in financial industry

    • Experience in planning and project management leadership role

    • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders

    • Proven ability to persuade and/or influence others in order to provide and obtain information relevant to the programs.

    • Excellent working knowledge of management principles

    • Ability to accurately evaluate information and present recommendations based on facts

    • Capable to make performance projection outcomes for specific actions and or strategies

    • Successful project and staff management

    • Wide knowledge of HSBC policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks

    • Qualifications would include an undergraduate degree in Business Administration or a related field. Professional qualifications in Financial Management would be an advantage to and typical for this role.

    • Understand the RBWM strategy and collaborate with the business to accomplish this strategy

    • Highly developed inter-personal skills for dealing with a diverse range of senior stakeholders

    • Demonstrated business knowledge, such as experience leading a P&L unit

    • Strong strategic planning, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, project management, and team-building skills

    • Strong ability to use numerical data to develop tactical plans within the broad context of strategic plans and change them as warranted by results.

    • Sound understanding of the customer segments, products offered and the competitive market

    • Understand and interpret complex business requirements

    • Proven ability to prioritise competing demands

    • Demonstrated ability to use MI and numerical data to develop tactical plans within the broad context of strategic plans and change them as warranted by results.
