    The U.S. Mission in the UAE is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of NCIS Administrative Assistant

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • The incumbent serves as Office Manager for a federal law enforcement agency charged with conducting criminal investigations and national security activities, and performs broad-ranging administrative functions to relieve superiors of routine details.

    • Responsible for administration and financial management of NCIS' resources and activities, including budget preparation and reporting.

    • Furnishes a wide range of senior office administration management and reports directly to the NCIS Resident Agent in Charge (RAC).

    • Responsible for procurement of contracts and supplies, computer network management, shipping and travel coordination and arrangements, personnel, and maintenance management for residential and official furnishings.

    • Provides program support through logistics and procurement.

    • Education:

    • Two (2) years (4 semesters) post-secondary study at college/university required. Three (3) years relevant work experience may be substituted for each semester of study at college/university for up to a total of 3 semesters (9 years).

    • Work Experience:

    • Minimum of three years of office and financial management experience required. At least one year should be directly related specialized experience, preferably with the U.S. Government.

    • Language:

    • List both English and host country language(s) proficiency requirements by level (II, III) and specialization (sp/read). Level IV (fluent) English is required

    • Knowledge:

    • thorough knowledge of office management functions, service, procedures and standard information sources and a thorough knowledge of budget matters

    • Abilities and Skills:

    • Level 2 (40 words per minutes) typing skills is required. Ability to research and find supporting data from a variety of sources.

    • Skilled in the use of computer word processing, and bookkeeping software and other office equipment.

    • Ability to manage office computer network.

    • Skilled in preparing an office budget.
