    The U.S. Mission in the UAE is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of CLO Assistant

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • The CLO Assistant works in the Management Section of the U.S. Consulate Dubai. He/she assists the CLO Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the office.

    • The CLO Assistant supports the CLO Coordinator in their efforts to promote the well- being of the USDH and EFM community by carrying-out the CLO’s eight primary areas of responsibilities which include: welcoming and orientation, community liaison, events planning, education liaison, employment liaison, information and resource management, guidance and referral, crisis management and security liaison.

    • In the absence of the CLO, the CLO Assistant will serve as acting CLO. He/She will use judgment to make decisions regarding inquiries on EFM employment, crisis management and security, education, information and resource management, guidance and referral, community liaison, event planning, and welcome and orientation

    • Education:

    • Completion of Secondary School is required

    • Work Experience:

    • Minimum of one year of professional work experience required

    • Language:

    • Level III (Good Working Knowledge) of English for Speaking/Reading/Writing is required.“This may be tested

    • Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of US Embassy or organizational structure. FLO Reporting schedule for CLOs, EFM hiring information, submitting MyService requests for events, information on local schools EFMs attend, and will learn to use and publish the Dubai Oasis newsletter in Publicity

    • Abilities and Skills:

    • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

    • Standard knowledge of Microsoft computer environment required; ability to draft and edit material for correspondence and publication required.

    • Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal/customer service skills required.

    • Ability to establish priorities and organize a large amount of varied information and tasks required.
