the General Civil Aviation Authority - GCAA is currently seeking to hire a Chief Officer Corporate Performance & Excellence
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Excellence Awards
Contribute significantly in conducting excellence reviews and analysis of GCAA business.
Highlighting gaps and areas for development across all pillars of excellence. Contribute in developing excellence enhancement plans.
Identifying improvement initiatives to improve performance in collaboration with the business units and reflecting that in the operational plans
Participate and coordinate with the awards business function owner in preparing GCAA participation document for the Excellence Programs.
Maintain excellence culture within GCAA through conducting internal workshops, develop and execute marketing plans to raise awareness on the SKGEP criteria and government projects.
Act as methodology expert and facilitator for the excellence teams across the GCAA, supporting in all excellence aspects.
Prepare in coordination with the concerned BU KPI’s Matrix, prepare analytical reports and conducting benchmark studies.
Conduct internal audit and generate sectorial report, follow up on corrective actions.
Participate in GCAA readiness for excellence assessment through conducting rehearsal sessions with the concerned BU.
Activate the Prime Minister’s Office SKGEP system internally.
Develop the necessary plans and conduct training workshops for GCAA users and handle the system’s update and necessary changes.
Manage Prime Minister’s Medals program. Performance Management System
Contribute significantly in activating the performance management system internally within GCAA. Develop the necessary plans and conduct training workshops for GCAA users, and handle the system updates and enhancements.
Review existing KPI’s and conduct brainstorming session on developing new required KPI’s (SKGEP alignment with the strategy).
Prepare analytical performance report and identify area for improvements. Corporate Cooperation and Coordination
Maintain effective cooperation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders in order to gather the required information or to provide them with necessary requirements through different communication channels.
Budgets and Plans
Contribute to and recommend the Strategy and Performance budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
