Dubai Electricity & Water Authority DEWA is currently seeking to hire an Analyst - Programmer.
The candidate will report to DEWA's Senior Manager – Smart Technologies and Business Intelligence within the Information Technology Division and be responsible for the day to day activities
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Executive Business Intelligence software, application and system related activities such as research, design and development of software system in order to meet client requirement.
Responsible for software testing, debugging and periodic maintenance of the system.
Prepare and analyze business, functional and technical reports in order to meet the business requirement of various DEWA divisions/departments. Conduct Unit Acceptance Testing and ensure the report’s integrity before it goes live into production.
Maintain and upgrade Business Intelligence application and ensure proper installation of new products including its evaluation.
Support the department in obtaining Quality Certifications by adhering and ensuring adherence to ISO / Quality procedures in daily work activities.
Respond to user problems and provide technical support with respect to BI System Failures. Recommend the IT equipment needed as a solution to the issues / problems.
Responsible for developing Business Intelligence softwares, participation in product definition, including Business case or Gap analysis.
Carry out feasibility and Cost-benefits analysis including the choice of application architecture and framework. Participation in software release and post-release activities including support and testing. Maintain and modify existing application programs. Implementation (e.g. installation, configuration, programming/customization, integration, data migration). Testing including defining/supporting acceptance testing and gathering feedback from business users.
Define system requirements in terms of equipment capabilities. Develop time schedules, conversion and test procedures for all aspects of system.
Ensure complete documentation of daily activities including system control documentation.
