Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt is currently recruiting for the role of System Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Installing and upgrading UNIX and Linux system software on company servers and computers.
Creating UNIX and Linux file systems.
Setting up and maintaining UNIX and Linux user accounts and access management systems.
Implementing network and computer system policies.
Detecting and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
Responding to user requests and software errors.
Monitoring the performance of the system and server.
Applying patches and upgrades when necessary.
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
at least 5 years of experience as a UNIX and Linux System Administrator
Knowledge of UNIX and Linux and operating systems, storage environments, file systems, and network protocols
Detailed knowledge of UNIX and Linux principles, file editing, UNIX and Linux commands, and file manipulation.
Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, LINUX, and LINUX shell scripting.
Knowledge of networking principles including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery .
