Banque du Caire - BDC is currently recruiting for the role of Corporate Credit Risk Team Leader
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Responsible for the quality of the assigned credit portfolio.
Study and analyze proposed credit applications (New/ Renewals/ ADHOC requests) and their related term sheets.
Ability to focus on details, identify risks at individual borrower level and on portfolio level, also to be able to provide/ discuss solutions & mitigates.
Ability to provide/ review deep financial statements analysis.
Ability to timely conclude a concise and accurate written credit risk recommendation according to bank’s credit policy & guide lines.
Coordinates with Relationship Managers & Business team Leaders to discuss & agree on appropriate credit structures & terms sheets.
Attend credit committee meetings to present Credit risk opinion and to be able to handle deep credit discussions.
Validate the internal risk rating for each borrower, ensure credit analysis and rating model are properly used and consistent.
Promptly escalate deteriorating credit situations with the necessary recommendations & adjustments.
Recommend, monitor and handle transactions related to the assigned portfolio.
Shall lead a small team of Credit officers & Senior Credit officers.
Guide, coach direct report/ reports.
Job Requirements
Credit course from recognizable institution.
8 to 12 years of corporate/ credit risk experience.
Well-developed knowledge to build & review complex projection & financial models.
Ability to handle workloads & high volume flows of credit proposals.
Thorough knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, and CBE instructions.
Thorough knowledge of credit quality standards and banking standards.
Thorough knowledge of market changes and main industries movements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across all related stakeholders.
Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills.
Previous credit risk analysis and underwriting experience within a professional corporate/ credit risk environment
