    Job Description

    The Cargo Officer is responsible for providing superior and consistent quality service to customers, both directly and in conjunction with GHA. Ensures efficient day-to-day Cargo Operations by guiding and directing the team and adhering to EKSkyCargo procedures. Plans, organizes, and coordinates operational activities, delegating responsibilities to subordinate staff and third-party contractors. Monitors and oversees GHA's service to ensure it aligns with EK standards and address shortcomings promptly.

    The Cargo Officer resolves problems such as delays, disruptions, cargo mishandling, and transfer cargo. Reviews cargo documentation and ensures accurate completion of post-flight activities, investigating and responding to queries, complaints, and claims from internal and external customers. Updatse and maintains Cargo Systems, produces and analyzes periodic reports and statistics.

    Supervisory accountabilities include motivating, training, and providing feedback to staff, managing performance, and supervising cargo operations. Can also deputise for the Cargo Manager or act as the Duty Manager for freighters.


    Job Requirements

    The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in Cargo Operations, including 3 years as a Senior Cargo Agent and previous team leading experience. should also have 2 years of experience, including 1 year as a Senior Cargo Agent, and completed supervisory training.

    Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations, Advanced Load Control, Weight & Balance procedures, and Live Animal Regulations is essential. PC-based skills, analytical and numeracy skills, and fluency in English and the country of work are also required.
