    The British Embassy Abu Dhabi has a vacancy for Regional Integrity Manager under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).

    The role of the Integrity Manager (IM) is based within the Decision Making Centre (DMC) in Abu Dhabi but covers the following additional DMCs: Istanbul, Amman, Riyadh, and Islamabad. The IM network currently has resource in Beijing, Bogota, Chennai, Pretoria, Croydon, and Sheffield. An SEO in UK Visas and Citizenship's Central Operations Team, based in Apollo House, Croydon, has oversight of the IM network and directs its operations.

    This role covers the assurance of end-to-end case working processes and general security and integrity practices to align with assurance activities undertaken in DMCs outside of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This will help to ensure consistency in all DMCs in the network as we adapt to operational changes.

    It is a challenging role that requires enthusiasm, time management, and the ability to identify, pre-empt, and react to integrity risks within the respective posts. Training will be provided by an established Integrity Manager.

    There will be a requirement for ad-hoc travel inside and outside of the region which will mean being away from home for a minimum of three (3) days at a time.

    Experience of visa work is not essential to carry out the Integrity Manager role but a strong understanding of UKVI processes and procedures would be beneficial

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


    • Assuring the end-to-end visa process through proactive testing of assets, systems, and personnel;

    • Raising and maintaining awareness of integrity and assurance matters, managing integrity at the DMC and at Visa Application Centres run by our commercial partners;

    • Managing Post's collating of breaches of the Operating Mandate and providing support to investigation managers to ensure global consistency in handling breaches;

    • Providing support to IM colleagues and to the wider UKVI Integrity Network; information/ intelligence gathering to support investigations - this includes liaison with Professional Standards Unit and Anti-Corruption Unit;

    • Managing the transition to new ways of working e.g., digitisation of the visa application and assessment processes and commercial partner vignette management;

    • Providing support for audit visits from the FCO, ICI, and OGDs, including assisting in the implementation of recommendations;

    • Analysing and challenging monthly assurance checklist returns;

    • Ensuring that all mandatory process checks e.g., CCTV coverage of biometric enrolment and commercial partner vignette management are completed in a timely manner;

    • Helping the commercial partners to identify and mitigate risks in their operations, ensuring adherence to contractual service level agreements;

    • Managing the security clearances of all commercial partner staff;

    • Complying with ad-hoc tasking from the Central Operations Team.

    Desirable qualifications, skills and experience

    • Understanding of UKVI processes and procedures or experience of visa procedures
